Spotlight on Chapman
This exciting new program offers both English and Mandarin speaking students the opportunity to attain both Mandarin and English proficiency. Kindergarten students who participate in the program do not have to speak Mandarin. The program will teach students to speak, read and write Mandarin and English. It is the expectation that students will participate in this program through the fifth grade in order to fully benefit from the approach.
In our program, students receive instruction in all content areas in both English and Mandarin beginning in kindergarten. Students will have a minimum of 50% of each instructional day in Mandarin.
