About Us

At Chapman Elementary, school staff work collaboratively to promote character, confidence, knowledge, and a love for learning in each of our students. Our school is a four-time California Distinguished School, most recently recognized in 2020 and a Title I Academic Achievement School. Over the last three years, our school has been acknowledged as a TOP school in LA County and Honor Roll school. Chapman Elementary is the only school in the South Bay area that offers a Dual Language Mandarin program. Our youngest students explore, learn, and develop socially in our Expanded Transitional Kindergarten program, one of the few ETK programs in Gardena.
